Buc-ee’s is a gas station.
Buc-ee’s is much more than a gas station.
If you haven’t been to a Buc-ee’s, you probably won’t understand this. You have to experience a Buc-ee’s to understand what it’s truly like. When you go to Buc-ee’s you can find clothing and home décor. You can buy and eat freshly made beef jerky. There is homemade candy and fresh roasted nuts to enjoy as well. They are known for their “beaver nuggets” which some people claim are addictive. They profess to have the cleanest bathrooms you can find on the road. They sell brisket, BBQ, and other items that you can eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And, yes, you can fill up your car with gas. Buc-ee’s is much more than a gas station.
You are a person.
Sometimes, when we look at ourselves, we seem rather ordinary. We see our faults and failures. We see our wrongs and errors. We see our sin. Sometimes, we don’t feel like we have much to offer because of our actual and perceived limitations. It’s easy to feel average and “normal”.
You are much more than a person.
When you begin to feel average or ordinary, you need to remind yourself who you really are. You are God’s child. (2 Corinthians 6:18). You are a co-heir with Christ. (Romans 8:17) You are an ambassador for Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:20) You are God’s created masterpiece. (Ephesians 2:10) You are a citizen of God’s kingdom. (Philippians 2:20) You can do all things within God’s will for your life. (Philippians 4:13) You are redeemed by the blood of Christ. (1 Peter 1:18,19)
We are more than mere people. We have been chosen by God, loved by God, redeemed by God through the blood of Christ, and guaranteed salvation through God’s amazing grace. While the world may see average and ordinary, God sees gifted and extraordinary. You mean more than you will ever realize to your Father in heaven.
Buc-ee’s is no ordinary gas station.
You are no ordinary person.
