“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” -Vincent van Gogh
We make hundreds of them every day. From the time our eyes first open in the morning and our brain engages the day to the moment our eyes close and our brain goes to rest, we make decision after decision. We make decisions regarding what we are going to wear, what we are going to eat, where we are going to go and what we are going to do. We make decisions regarding work and decisions regarding our leisure time. We make decisions that impact our family and other decisions that affect our friends. We make decisions without barely thinking about them and other decisions that require hours, days, months and even years to make.
Decisions are an essential part of our lives.
As we begin to emerge from this time of quarantine, isolation and social distancing, we have had an abundance of time to think about our lives. We’ve had time to contemplate what matters most to us. We’ve had a chance to consider our relationships with family and friends, where our careers are going, how are kids are doing and what matters most to us. Hopefully, we have contemplated our relationship with God and what He wants to do in our lives. All of these areas of our lives will require us to make certain decisions to move to the life that we want to live.
Beginning this Sunday morning, we are going to talk about decisions. Specifically, we are going to discuss seven decisions that if made correctly, could change our lives. They will impact our relationships with those we love, they will impact the way we work and play, and they will impact our relationship with God. These decisions can’t be taken lightly. They won’t all be painless, and they will require some thought and attention. But they have the potential to help lead us into a life that we have wanted but may not have been able to achieve.
It’s time to make some decisions. Join us for the series “Decision Time” this Sunday with the Fairlane family at 9 and 11. Invite your friends and encourage them to join us as well!
If you aren’t able to join us in person, please view our livestream at www.fairlanechurch.org or listen on 1400AM or 100.9FM.
