Life on Mission
Why am I here?
What is the purpose of my life?
What good am I doing?
How can I make a difference in a world filled with so much chaos, pain and suffering?
Is there anything I can do to make a difference?
These are questions that are difficult to wrestle with. Each of us wants our lives to make a difference, but often we get overwhelmed with all of the need around us. We feel unqualified, unprepared and inadequate. We see others around us that seem to be doing so much more and we feel guilty and inept. How can we make a difference in our lives for the glory of God and to bring healing and hope to others? How can we truly make a difference for God and to others?
This morning, we are beginning a sermon series called “Life on Mission”. It’s going to walk us through the Old Testament story of Nehemiah. This man was used by God to make a significant difference for the people of Israel and to bring glory to the Father. He prayed, planned, prepared, shared the workload with others and would not allow his critics or circumstances to deter him. As we dive into his story, we will learn principles and insight into how we can also live a life on mission for the glory of God and to bring hope and healing to a community that desperately needs it.
Your life matters. You have a God-given mission to complete. Your life can have the meaning and purpose you seek. You were created to bring glory to God and to be a blessing to others. Are you ready to live a life on mission? Enjoy the story of Nehemiah and see how God can change your life and give you the mission you always wanted.
