Here are a few things that I am thankful for in this season of Thanksgiving.
*I’m thankful for the fall season we have enjoyed in southern Tennessee. After living in Florida and Louisiana for
the past thirteen years, I had forgotten the beauty and refreshment of this season.
*I’m thankful for the friendliness and community spirit we find in Shelbyville and Bedford County. We are blessed
to live in a community where neighbor looks out for neighbor and Godly values are still appreciated.
*I’m thankful for this country in which we live. We are blessed to have the freedom we enjoy (and sometimes take
for granted) each day. America is not perfect, but it continues to be a beacon of hope, freedom and opportunity
for the majority of the world.
*I’m thankful for the young adult life group that meets each Sunday evening. Fairlane is blessed with some
incredible young adults who love God and desire to please Him. I’m also thankful for Richard and Suzanne Bobo
who help lead the group with Misty and myself. Their love and hospitality to the young adults is such a blessing
and great example.
*I’m thankful for the Fairlane office staff. Partnering in ministry with Michael and Candy is a blessing and I’m
thankful for their service to the Kingdom and to the Fairlane family.
*I’m thankful to Claudia and her care and attention to keeping the facilities at Fairlane clean and running
effectively. If you see her at the building, please tell her “Thank You!”.
*I’m thankful for the leadership of the Fairlane shepherds. These men love the Lord and this church family and
serve sacrificially and tirelessly to minister to and meet the spiritual needs of our church family. They are a
blessing to work with and I appreciate the Kingdom work they do each day.
*I’m thankful for the deacons at Fairlane and the ministry they oversee and coordinate each week. Their efforts
and work are appreciated. Without them, our ministries would suffer and have less impact. I appreciate their
servant hearts and their love for our church family.
*I’m thankful for the love and acceptance of the Fairlane family over the past eight months. Our transition to
Fairlane and Shelbyville has been a blessing to us and I am thankful for every deed and word shared that has
*I’m thankful for the love and support of Misty and Davidson. They sacrifice so I’m able to do the ministry to which
God has called me. I am blessed to have their encouragement each day.
