Student Spotlights coming in January!!!
In January, we want to launch a new FYM campaign. Each month, we will feature one student as our student of the month in our “Student Spotlight.” These will be selected at random. Students are submitting the following for their spotlight: photo, fun fact, hobbies, Favorite Scripture, First and last name, year in school, and School name.
Right now, we have 4 spotlights completed.
Fall Retreat on November 8-10
Our Fall Retreat weekend is quickly approaching. Chris Bobo from Southside and I, have been hard at work planning what we hope will be a great retreat! If you aren’t able to join us this year or have chosen not to, we hope that you will want to make plans to join us in the future. We are striving to make retreat weekends like this a highlight on the FYM calendar year-in and year-out.

Wednesday Nights with the Fairlane Youth Ministry
We are currently studying thru a series called “All In.” So far, we have worked our way thru the first 3 lessons. The idea behind this series is that the Gospel doesn’t cost anything, but it demands everything. It demands that we go “all in,” a term that simply means placing all that you have into God’s hands. Pushing it all in. The commitment that should drive all others, is our commitment to God. See, many people are scared of or even opposed to commitment. The thinking is, “If I make a commitment, then I give up my freedom. I give up my control. I give up my individuality.” But there’s an alternative opinion that says it’s actually only when you make a commitment that you are free to find the kind of trust that makes for intimacy, that makes for relationship, or that makes for community. We actually find our identity when we make commitments.
